We are proud to be a training office for students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. So all our staff are trained to the very highest standards.
They also aim to provide you with a level of customer service that may be in a different league from what you’re used to.
And the limited liability partnership members – Jane Webb & Ian Chalmers – will take a personal interest in your business throughout.
As one of our clients, these are the people you would have the most contact with:

Jane Webb FCCA
Jane has been with Phillips Frith for over 20 years and has lived in Cornwall all her life.
“Many of my early working years with the firm were spent out of the office auditing the accounts of companies of all sizes. I have always therefore believed in seeing at first hand how a client’s business operates so that I can give the best advice.”

Ian Chalmers FCA
Ian trained and qualified as an accountant with a firm in Cambridgeshire of a similar size to Phillips Frith. He joined us in 1981.
“Nearly all of my clients are family owned businesses, both large and small. Planning for tax saving has always been a large part of my work but advising this type of business has become more complex over the years, requiring a closer working relationship and an understanding of family dynamics.”
Sharon FountainSharon has been our receptionist since 2002.
Andrew Prouse FCCAAndrew was born in Penzance. He trained as an accountant in Slough and was keen to return to Cornwall to pursue his career. He has been with us for 15 years.
Sue HastingsSue moved to Cornwall from Salisbury and joined the firm in 1999. She has 13 years of experience in advising on the use of Sage software. Read more about Sue on our Sage page.
Mike NichollsMike started work with Phillips Frith in 1973 and is our constant reminder of how things used to be done…
Zoe Derriman ACCAZoe joined the firm after leaving school. She started by gaining the AAT qualification and then studied further, passing her ACCA examinations in 2005.
